Used WSM for $130, what do you think?

I'm not sure it is worth the savings of only $69 given amazon's free shipping special, but thought I'd run it past you. Lady in Florida has one for sale and will sell for 100 plus 30 shipping. Says it is in very nice condition, but used and well seasoned. I don't know how old it is yet or too many other facts.

what is your thought and what questions should I ask?

I don't think new or used makes a difference they last a long time.

Going new gives you the waranty and if it is delivered with any problem weber will fix it and it is new.

You'll have it for at least 5 years so when you look at the additional cost for new well it is your decision.

I might ask how long it's been since it's been used and where it's been stored (inside/outside/covered). It's not like there is anything mechanical to go wrong with it but the grates, charcoal ring, water pan/ supports could have rusted badly.

$30 shipping seems cheap to me, I'd be curious to find out how she plans to ship it.

Perhaps ask if the finish is scuffed up or chipped.

If you could go look at it before you forked over the money, I'd do it. However, since you cannot and it's being shipped I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. It could be bent in half and she may cram it in the box and tell you it wasn't like that when she boxed it up. Spend the extra $69 and you WILL be much happier in the end!

I agree, i just happened to see it and wondered what you folks would say. If it was local, for 100 bucks and I could see it, i'd buy it but there is too much risk in shipping, pkging, and the overall condition for such a small savings
