Used CI griddle on Induction first time

Looks good, is all of the bottom touching the glass top? if not that would be my only worry as it might not sense temps properly.
Yeah, my worry as well. Which is why I intend to look for something different. As while the thing had been heating up it made a "pop" that sounded like a small fire cracker from under the griddle. I suspect there had been a bit of moisture? Not sure. But between the weight on the glass top, and the clumsiness of all that weight. I don't think I will try it again. I'm hoping to find something lightweight (perhaps carbon steel) or what not that will sit flush to the top, and have decent handles.
If anyone knows of something that can be recommended please let me know as Google searches are not giving me much

Are you looking for it to be made out of stainless or cast iron?
Prefer not cast iron. The weight gives me the willies on the glass cook top. For the right piece I'd tolerate CI but prefer stainless or some such material easier to clean and care for. That Lodge is not well suited for the glass top. First off the "ridge" around the edge prevents full "contact" to the stove's surface and I am not sure that is good for induction which I think requires some type of "feedback" of the surface temp. Without contact that would not be accurate. It "worked" last night but made me VERY uncomfortable I just ordered the Tramontina BTW

Nice! Hopefully it works out perfectly for your use.

Did steaks on the stove last night too.

I told the Wife it'd been ages since we had done them indoors, but with the weather and seeing she had just bought me a set of HexClad pans with a Black Friday deal I said why not?

Two 1 -1/4" NY strips in the pan and finished in the oven with a pat of butter and sprigs of thyme, rosemary and garlic.
