Most will use the top level when cooking only enough for 1 grate. Easier access and if you're using a dome therm, it's closer to top grate temp.

BBS tip: Little pencil/paper icon lets you edit posts when your finger hits the Add Reply button sooner than you intended. Also, backing up and changing a post and hitting the Add Reply button again results in double-posting.
