Upgrade One Touch kettle to Premium kettle? Worth the cost?

I have the One Touch 22" kettle with the basic aluminum ash catcher plate. I dislike the dust it produces when windy and when cleaning the bowl.
Would it be worth the cost to buy the OEM ash catcher kit ? CAD$80 with taxes.

The ash catcher is $70 US / $80 CAN, using that formula
The 22" Kettle Premium is $219 US / $250 CAN
$80 / $250 = 32% which is basically 1/3 of the new Premium
I'd buy the new Premium for $250 and sell the old Kettle for whatever you can get (assume $100)
In my mind, the ash catcher isn't worth it, when it's 1/3 of a new Premium

The Master-Touch 22" is 360 + taxes = ~$410 CAN at the local big orange store (cross shopping yields the same result at other big box retailers)
There is a "green" Original kettle Premium for $270 CAN ($330 incl taxes), but don't like that colour at all.

The cheap metal bowl is interesting.

$80/$330 = 24%
$80/$410 = 20%

The $80 ash catcher makes sense if a new kettle is $410, unless your old kettle is long in the tooth

Another option…. Find a cheap used donor kettle with good ash catcher. Maybe switch the old pan out and resell donor. You may come out ahead.

I think that green is mean. I could sport that
