Going to be doing two 13lb birds for thanksgiving and was wondering what the best method is. I will be doing one on each rack and am wondering if I will have a temp problem between the top and bottom bird. I am thinking of maybe switching them halfway during the cook so that they will be even?

Any suggestions would be great...

Thanks!

Swapping birds at about the 2 hour wouldn't be a bad idea. I probably wouldn't bother, but that's just me-- I go by internal temperature regardless. You'll want a good full charcoal ring going, and a dry water pan, to get the cooker to maintain 325-350*. If it were me I would put both birds on at the time I assemble the cooker once the coals are all lit to get a head start on bringing that much meat up to target temp.
