Tweaked grommet mod

I hope I'm not boring you guys with this , but I just wanted to mention that when I actually used my grommet for the first time I found that 3/4 of an inch was a little too long. It still worked, but passing the "L" shaped probe of one of my meat thermometers thru was a wee bit difficult , so I took it apart and cut it to just under a half inch and now it's much easier.
Just thought I'd pass that along in case you're contemplating this mod. Which I used for the first time Wednesday and it worked excellent. Very convenient.

Not boring me at all. I like seeing all the mods people come up with. I really need to do this mod. I keep passing the probes through the top vents. Such a pain in the back side when you need get into the smoker.
