So I plan on smoking our turkey in the 22.5 WSM but I'm thinking about laying a layer of bacon on the turkey breast. I've done this on a rump roast before as a way to 'self baste' but wanted to ask if any of you guys have tried this on a turkey before? Any thing I should be worried about or any reasons I shouldn't try this? Don't like experimenting w/ thanksgiving turkey when its the main turkey for dinner lol.
