Turkey Meatloaf?

Hi All,

I've been getting some good ground turkey from Costco lately. I usually use it in a red sauce with pasta but I did a Turkey Meatloaf a few weeks ago. My meatloaf is pretty simple but I'd like to add zip. Can anyone direct me to a recipe?

Thanks,

James, my suggestion would be to go to the beef section and do a search under meatloaf. Just remember ,this will give you a recipe for beef so if you are going to use turkey you may have to make some adjustments for lack of fat but there are tons of recipes over there

I don't find the need to adjust due to lower fat content. If there is enough moisture added (along with breadcrumbs or the like, to retain it) it won't be an issue. I make a couple or three a month.

I use finely minced vegetables for flavor and moisture (carrot, bell peppers of different colors, onion), which I also do for beef or lamb loaves. A splash of milk, a squirt of ketchup, herbs (thyme, marjoram, basil, oregano), some salt and white pepper, a chile of one kind or another (Merken often, or Aleppo or guajillo), breadcrumbs, egg.
