Turkey Cannon

I almost got a chance to use the Turkey Cannon. My bird was around 19lbs and the cannon wouldn't fit in my WSM 18" with that size of bird. Maybe around 12 - 14lb would be fine.

Anyway, if nothing else, the TC worked GREAT as a drying stand for the bird after it came out of the brine. Air dried in the fridge on the TC, TC inside a large roasting pan.

So.....Alton Brown would approve since it's a multi task tool!

that thing is disturbing looking LOL.

i cook turkey a lot on my wsm typically i split down the breast remove the breast bone lay it flat ribs down and cook away.

that does look a lot like the beer can method turned on its side for turkey.
