Turkey Breast Question

Forgive the dumb question, isn't turkey breast white meat?

I ask because the first one I smoked was white meat.

Today I bought one on sale because the expiration date was tomorrow. I smoked it when I got home because I was worried about freezing, then defrosting at a later time due to the exp. date. This breast came out brown as in dark meat.

Is that possible or is something wrong with the meat?

LoL, thats what i thought. Thanks for confirming,,

I ate a few bites, wasnt sure if I was feeling ok..then realized the meat should be white. Into the trash it went,,sucks because wasted my hard to find royal oaks and a few hours of my day.. Now that I think about it, I should have taken it back to the store nice and warm fresh out of the 22.5

Does injecting meat change its color? Curious for next time as I want to try that for the first time.

Dude , get your money back. Just take the receipt back and tell em the meat was funky. They don't want the meat back anyway. But they will refund your money.
