My wife is from the Philippines and we travel there about once a year. Next time we go I'm taking a Weber kettle with me as pork, chicken and fish are available in abundance, and lump charcoal is available everywhere, but I have no idea of what kind of wood to use for smoking. None of the traditional smoke woods are available there, so does anybody know what kind of tropical woods would be best suited for cooking low and slow. Thanks in advance.

Don,
Seems like it won't be hard to find out. If they are making their own lump over there, find out what they are using to make it.
