Tri-Tips on sale @ Winco

For those of you who live near a WinCo, they have untrimmed tri-tips on sale for just $1.98/lb! I picked up 3.

I was hoping they would still have their holiday turkey sale going on but no such luck. The way that works is that if you spend at least $100 groceries during your visit (not including the price of the turkey), then you get the turkey for free.

Anyway they didn't have much of a frozen turkey selection and they were at reg price, so I went to Wal Mart and got a 21lb bird there for 0.68/lb. Wife wants to cut all the meat off it after it thaws and grind it for Turkey burgers. So pretty good chance I'll be making turkey burgers in the next day or two.....

I rarely shop at WinCo, but happen by there yesterday after a sams club run to get beef bones for broth Saw the deal on tri-tips. Select grade, but still a good price. I didn’t buy since just bought 4 at Sams at 5.99 a pound for choice, trimmed which a decent price... I’ve bought select grade tri-tips in the past and you can make them taste good...

We stopped by WinCo on Monday and was thinking of getting another tri tip but the few that were left had so much fat on them that I passed. They did have chuck roasts on sale for $3.48/lb which isn't great, but since they have been charging up to $5.28/lb for those lately, we picked one up.

We also went to Costco and no shortages at all.

Just picked up a couple Prime beauties at Costco, $1.98 they were not!!

At $1.98 trim and marinade, I bet they would be amazing.
