The recall of not-ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes has been expanded to 47 million pounds of products sold in Georgia—in Trader Joe’s and Costco stores—and elsewhere nationally.

Approximately 47,112,256 pounds have been recalled from Costco, Trader Joe’s and other stores, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced.

This action is being taken in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration because the recalled products contain vegetables that are part of the recent CRF Frozen Foods recall.

At least eight products are affected in this latest recall. The heat-treated, not-fully-cooked, not-shelf-stable meat and poultry items were produced by Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. on various dates between May 1, 2014 and May 1, 2016.
