I'm new here - new to cooking with charcoal actually (I've had a Genesis gas grill for a few years now). I just bought a new Performer about two weeks ago from Amazon and someone introduced me to this site. Since then, I purchased a SS Performer from CL last week and just found another one that I'm heading out to pickup tomorrow (my wife is starting to get worried).
The new one is red and from my understanding after reading many of the posts here it seems to be somewhat rare. My question is this - from the picture I've seen of it, there is a very small area where it looks like the porcelain has come off (I'll know more tomorrow when I pick it up) - is there any way to patch/paint this? If so, I assume that high heat paint is the way to go, but does anyone have any suggestions for a good brand to go with (or conversely, any to stay away from)?
Any suggestions you can give me would be greatly appreciated...and thanks for all the help I've received so far from just kind of lurking in the background!!
