OK, to make up for the last recipe with a lot of ingredients (some of you were not happy), here is one with only 6 ingredients.

Thousand Island Dressing - Brennan's

1 cup mayonnaise, regular or reduced calorie
1/2 cup prepared chili sauce
1 hard-boiled egg, chopped (or two hard-boiled egg whites)
1 TB. chopped dill pickle
1 1/2 tsp. finely chopped parsley
1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and chili sauce.
2. Stir in the hard-boiled egg, pickle, parsley and Worcestershire sauce.
3. Serve with your favorite salad or cooked seafood. Makes 1 1/2 cups

Never heard of putting boiled egg(s) in Thousand Island. Might have to try that.

I use a really simple recipe:
1 cup mayonnaise (I like Duke's or Best Foods/Hellman's)
1/3 cup ketchup
1 TBSP dill pickle relish
1 TBSP finely diced onion.

For burger sauce I add 1 tsp each, Worcestershire and yellow mustard and a TBSP or white vinegar.

Hi Bob, out of 11 recipes that I have for Thousand Island, 7 of them call for hard-boiled eggs. Here is how the main ingredients go.

Mayo 11
Chili Sauce 7
Hard boiled egg 7
Sweet relish 6
and there are 25 ingredients in 3 or less recipes.

I have done this with quite a few other dressings. Sorry to say, we have not tried to make too many of our own. I have gotten on a kick where I only like EEVO on my salads.

Thanks Bob, sounds real good and easy. Added to my list. ;)
