Another uneventful, awesome pork butt completion - the first with my new GURU. I can see where in the not-too-distant future, I will be downright bored. I mean, not being able to 'tend to the pit' .....
Yeah well I am lucky enough to be Qing up a nice fresh new year's eve butt as I type this. The only thing is.....when my bullet was hauled to missouri, I left the fuel door on and during the trip it got bent up pretty bad. I got it back as best as I could but I have a pretty good leak on the side of it. So right now the lowest I can get my temp. is 260 measured at the top vent.....which ain't too bad but I wanted this butt to be PERFECT for new year's and all....I am probably gonna have to order a new one or do some fancy foil work. Hell maybe even ductape will get er' done!
