I bought mine March of 23. I've used it so much and so hard I've worn the paint off of it and all the markings it has is "Ligh................." Nothing else is visible. Yet no matter how I've abused it, between dropping it, submerging it, forgetting it on a blazing hot grill and getting it so hot all the display can do is blink "errrrrr", left it outside in WAY below 0 weather, way hot weather, rains storms, even an ice storm. It's like the Timex of Instant reads I did not see the deal for 2. I have it's red brethren (IIRC a TP19) I never take it in. It just stays stuck on what ever grill I am using and IIRC I bought that one 2 years earlier and I've never even changed the battery! It too keeps on chugging along with no issues.
Honestly these things are as top notch as it can get and their customer support is top notch
