Hi,

Just started to build my 4.2. But when i test the thermocouple and short the input i get 183mV, not around 100-150. is this something to be concerned about?

That would indicate an ambient temp of about 97 degrees F. That does not sound right, I would double check all your component values and look at solder joints, especially pins 2 and 3 of the AD8495, make sure they have a good solid ground connection. Pin 2 is a Reference input to the amplifier, any voltage there adds to the output voltage of the circuit.
