The Unicorn Herd is Complete!

I spent 7hrs in the truck today on a mission to finally bring myself home a Weber Flame Outdoor Fireplace. It is 100% complete and condition is very good or better. The pics are as it came off the truck so I’ve got some cleaning to do. This completes my personal wishlist of Weber unicorns as I now have the Vieluxe, a Char Q, a glass front model (in my case, a 3400), and now the Flame fireplace. Of the 4, the Flame ironically be the only one I actually keep for myself when all is said and done but it’s nice to have them all under one roof for a period of time if nothing else.FCC099F1-42F4-42D4-83D6-3198E8C1A0E2.jpeg64152AF5-845E-49D7-9890-AE829DA98B90.jpegCAFDF672-72A3-4844-A3A9-FC7977B07AFA.jpeg482559C8-8481-4C13-BEEA-A8322B2DA182.jpeg895B9965-6F8B-4D41-856E-398894F5162A.jpeg

Are going to play background tunes, or just watch the flames?

I don't know how you can call a collection complete without a kettle.

If I put stamps on this with a book inside, do you think I can send it media mail?

Dan, I'm no expert on those, but isn't that one old and ugly enough to be worth big money? I just don't want you to leave money on the table.
Its a 70s vintage MBH.

If it had a metal lid handle then I'd be asking double or triple :D

It's definitely from the 70's. My dad had one exactly like it until I bought him a Genesis Silver C back in 02 for Christmas. This was after he made fun of me for having a gas grill. He never used the kettle again.

I think mine is a 77.

Patent number on top vent.
More modern weber brand on top vent, but not the raised lettering
Newer style wheel.

Sounds about right to me, he replaced an older one that had a metal handle on the lid. I remember that because the handle got really hot when you were cooking.

Your herd may vary, but it’s “no kettles” for this fella. For whatever reason, they have zero attraction for me. The Char Q only made the cut because it was rare enough and small enough to justify having. I do have a soft spot for this old school, post mounted, park style grill at hunting camp, though.

Just got my first Wooddale MLH kettle the other day and still cleaning it up. This is from yesterday.
