The day has begun

A 4 lb butt went on the WSM at 8 this morning, two racks of baby backs go on a little after noon, and my little clan begins to stuff our bellies around 6 tonight. I hope things work out! Happy 4th everyone!

Bob, it was excellent! Except for the rain that stopped the fireworks the day was great. The butt was perfect, the sauce was just right, and the ribs were tender with just a hint of tug. And the peach cobbler rocked. To watch my wife and kids eat seconds and thirds is a blessing. I hope your 4th was great, too.
