By finding this site and thus learning about and using the Minion method, I finally had a great fire!. No problem at all re temps at 250-275 for 5 hours+ and ribs came out great so thanks. Would like to ask your opinion on rubs. What are your favorites and can they be purchased at Kroger or HEB? If not and you order them online, are they fresh? I am looking for a Texas Rub, Kansas City style rub, and Memphis style please - thanks...
 
I thnk rubs are like beer. There all good and all different.

Lots of good recipes on this site for them. Also I hear the weber line is pretty good. I know SAMs club sell them but I'm sure you find them else where. For other competition style, try Oakridge, Smokin Guns and Big Poppa
