I think this will be very helpful tonight! Not brutally cold expected but, cool.IMG_0848.jpeg
Right now, it’s looking like 50 overnight, possible rain in the morning, I hope I can get through this cook before it decides to really get wet! I suppose I can drop a patio umbrella over the top to keep the smoker drier.

Only got down to the upper 40’s last night, the jacket performed its mission in proper order! This butt threw a curve, I woke up about 3 and looked at the temps and pit was 265 but, the butt must have decided that it didn’t need to stall for the normal two hours and was at 205! I got fresh underpants on and sailed down the stairs, wrapped it and got it in a cooler and went back to sleep for another four hours.
So, about 7:30 I came back and pulled it, got it in a pan and delivered it to the folks at the bakery. Not a dry eye in the place.
The owners daughter gave me a long hug and said “Thank you for watching me grow up!” Marty shook my hand, the decorator gave me a huge hug and then I had to get out of there to retain my dignity!
I will miss those people like they were my own family.

That would be a tear jerker for sure. You're awesome for doing that and for having patronized them as you did.

It‘s been cold as you know what here and sadly my outdoor cooking has suffered from it.
Good on you Timothy for getting out and doing it.
As I earlier mention that rig looks ready to go.

I recently ordered some insulated Carhartt coveralls and now am waiting for the tailor to take up some of the length because their short inseam is about 6 inches too long and I’m 5’-9”.

For me I can normally bbq in the cold, rain or snow on my Weber Performer but as I get get older it’s taking more of a toll on me.
My Blackstone usually gets put in my shop right about now to be used during the rainy season.
Using my flattop in the rain is no bueno.
