Hi Dave and welcome to TVWB.

I don't have any experience at all with the thermometer you mentioned; sorry. BUT, several here including myself have been using the new Maverick ET-73 dual probe remote thermometer. I think the brand name it's produced under is "Redi-Check". Search the Advanced Forum for some faorly recent threads if you're interested. I've been very happy with mine.

That thermo would be the Nu-Temp NU-701. If you use the Search link above and search on "nu-temp" and "701", you will get about a dozen threads discussing it. Looks like you could order the Maverick, get a dual-probe instead of a single, and save about $25.
