Temp Probe Warning

I went the cheap route and ordered a "Lavatools Javelin" temp probe for 25.99 on Amazon. The fourth time I went to use it the probe registered 245 degrees at room temp. I went and bought a new battery and still the problem. I am happy Amazon issued a refund for the product and for the extra battery. Maybe this is just a freak thing but I wanted to let everyone know my experience with this device.

I wouldn't consider $26 cheap. My $10 instant read is cheap (and it works well). Nice having a great warranty/refund policy from A.
