Sunday meatloaf smoke big hit!

Howdy all, smoked my first meatloaf yesterday using my Grandmother's recipe. It was fantasic! She was a very special lady and I'm sure she would have been proud of the finished product. The hint of cherry smoke was great. If anyone likes meatloaf and not smoked one yet, your missing out. I posted "Grandma Carrigan's" recipe in the beef recipe section if anyone wants to try it. Enjoy

i had some friends over last night and smoked my first meatloaf then too!
turned out great with a wonderful 1/8" smoke ring and yup....used cherry wood too!

great stuff!
maybe next time though, i'll have to try your grandma's recipe

My last 'smoke' was a meatloaf; the first for me on my WSM. It too turned out fantastic. I especially liked the fact that all the fat/juice drips away from the loaf unlike my standard oven method in a pan. Last night was a quick grilling of chicken and Polish sausage using the 'egg configuration'. Too hot a fire and too close to the coals for the chicken

. Luckily, I just had to take the skin off, as it was a bit charred, and the meat was very juicy.
