Summit Silver - worth it?

Can get the Summit Silver attached for $100, but debating if it's worth the upgrade. Currently grilling on an early 2000's genesis gold which has been pretty solid. The added space and vertical burners has me weighing my options. I probably cook 50/50 gas/charcoal, so gasser is used at least weekly. I know know the firebox on these can be problematic. I'd probably sell the genesis if I went with this - worth it? Do these photos give any visual queues on condition?

Honestly your Genesis is a WAY better overall grill. You won't be gaining much of anything here (other than they can get a bit hotter) due to having a about 10k BTU more total output. As to the burner layout. I'll take the horizontal layout of a true Genesis 10X to 1 over this. So IMO I would hardly look at this as an "upgrade" but at best a sideways move

I would honestly hard pass and stick with the Gold.

Too much can catastrophically fail on that grill compared to basically nothing on the Gold.

Also parts are far easier to come by for the Gold than that “Summit”.
