This collecting Webers is fun. Got two this weekend. Both e-bay purchases.
First up a Summit Silver C. After working on the Genesis 5000s I was interested to see where Weber went next.

One owner, who has just had NG connected to his house, so has bought a new NG Summit, rather than convert existing.
No rust, SS Grills, flavorizer bars in good condition. Igniters work, but looking at them I have no idea how, so I will get a new set, and a new cover for the ignition button.
Smoker box is warped and missing a hinge rivet, the plastics need a good clean, but it's in pretty good nic.
I paid a little more than I would have liked at $160, but the vendor was kind enough to include two gas bottles (one full), and the big Weber cast iron griddle.
Second acquisition was a FT-600, which I was happy to acquire for $90.

As you can see I was not going to let this one get away!
FT-400s seem to pop up for sale here quite often, but this was the first FT-600 I had seen.
Second owner, well used, SS grill bars slightly warped, but everything else perfect working order, No gas bottle, but I had a spare given to me with the Summit Silver C.
Vendors reason for sale was interesting. He had just purchased a newish all SS Genesis 3 burner, already having the FT-600 and a Kettle.
He went away for a week, during which, his partner decided that three BBQs was one too many, and put the FT-600 on e-bay and sold it.
I think he was a bit sad to see it go, but is very happy with his Genesis.
My Father-in-law had been making noises about when I would get him a new BBQ, so I gave him a choice of the Summit Silver C or the FT-600.
He took the bright shiny SS one.
So back to finishing the Genesis 5000 restore.
P.S. Just for fun, I called into a BBQ store on the way back to my father-in-laws (with the two BBQs on the trailer), and looked at the prices of new Webers (much higher here than the US as well.)
That put a smile on my face.
