Suggestions on a Kettle Repair?

A buddy of mine did some welding repairs on the inside and outside on an older kettle where the contact points of leg sockets had rusted through. There are bare metal spots on both the inside and outside of the bowl. What primer and paints do you recommend to avoid any toxic fumes inside it and any related suggestions? I know I need to do a burn or two. Should I do it before or after painting the bare metal spots?

I think I would just let the inside be maybe spray some pam on it will get covered with grease anyway now on the outside I am doing a repair on some pretty large rust spots on a performer bowl they will need to be filled which I will use JB Weld the two part epoxy you mix its good to 500 that kettle should never get that hot down there.

Here is a thread from the forum where someone did a repair on a WSM basically the same method I will use. I already polished the bowl so will wipe the rusts spots down with Acetone and then mix up my JB Weld. Will finish with a high heat blue paint its never gonna match up but those spots won't show much the lid is another issue.
