Suggestions for Silver B replacement lid or end caps

So, I almost completed restoring a Weber Genesis Silver B thanks to this forum, but ran into what seems to be a big roadblock. The built-in bolts on the end caps are corroded. Tried to force some SS flange nuts on but none fit and 1 snapped right off (are these supposed to be 1/4”?) Any suggestions on repair or replacement?

I figure my options are probably to replace lid or end caps (hard to find, I’m in Canada), drill out all the built-in bolts (no idea where to do this but doubt a cordless drill would suffice), or maybe rethread the corroded bolts somehow??

Any help would be much my appreciated!

You could try using high temp RTV as glue and putting any nuts you can back. I’m not sure how well that would work.

I would probably just find a new lid/endcaps. Basically any Weber Genesis 3 burner lid from 1985 to 2005 will fit your grill. There are tons out there.
