Sugarless Rubs and Sauces

There was a thread the other day concerning those of us who would like to cut back or eliminate the sugar in the recipes. I found a book on Amazon.com. It's called the Low Carbohydrate Barbecue book by Dana Carpender. Read through it last night and has some dynamite recipes using sugar substitutes such as Splenda(which can take the higher heat of cooking). I guess it's possible to use the sugar substitutes instead of sugar in ANY rub or sauce recipe. Duhhhh!! They even give a recipe for sugar free ketchup to use for a base for your sauces and mops. The book cost about $2 but shipping was about$4. Not a bad deal.
