sugar maple smoke wood


 
It is sweet. Good with game hens, chicken and some bacon, though I add a little hickory when using it for bacon.
 
Maple is quite discernable-- you will guess it in a blind taste test every time because it tastes like, well, maple. Used it on turkey once; won't again.
 
Thanks for the help guys. I have apple, oak and the sugar maple at home. I think I might try a little maple next time I cook a ham or something like that. It sounds like the kind of wood that you dont wanna over do.
