Suckling Pig

Long time lurker here...and a noob.

I viewed the suckling pig video/thread and I happened to mentioned it to a buddy. Long story short, I got volunteered to smoke a 20-30 lbs. suckling pig this weekend on my 18".

In viewing the video, it indicates that a suckling pig can be done in 5 hours?....is that correct (ballpark)? I figure it would take at least 1 to 1.5 hours per pound? 5 hours seems a bit fast? I definitely don't want to screw this up!

What says the board...

The video in question was on a 22, not an 18, and he had to tie its legs together to make it fit. Not sure how you'd fit a 20-30lb suckler on an 18 inch WSM.

I've ordered a <20 lb suckling that will hopefully fit...but I may have to chop him in half

My main concern is cooking times, as there isn't much authority (as far as I've seen) on how long it would take to cook the suckler.
