Success with sliced pork

Asked about what temperature to take a pork butt off to slice and was told by Mr. Kruger that 170 degrees was the time. I cooked a pork butt took it off at 172 degrees had to go to church so wrapped the butt put it in a cooler and sliced 4 hours later. My son came over and said it was the best sliced pork he had eaten. Thank you Mr. Kruger and everyone who shares their knowledge and experiences with us who are just starting.

Steve </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I've never done sliced pork...was the fat mostly rendered off at that temp or was still a good marbling to the meat?

Any pics by chance?

i cook butt etc to slice a lot more than i do to shred. i cook it between 165-170 deg. my local market sells cut butt slices that i love to grill. yummo !
