T-Storms are bearing down on me (aprox 1 hour away) and my wsm is just approching temp. I'm doing a couple large butts, 9-8 lbers for a gal I work with for her sons comming home (from Iraq) party. I have the wind block strategicly placed and I'm awaiting the winds. I'd like to have the butts done well before I go to work anyway so higher temps are welcome. I usualy LOVE T-Storms, but hope it dosent keep me up all night chasing temps

It was a nice light show for sure! I had the WSM pretty well barricaded on all four sides from the wind, and under a roof so it stayed dry.

Everything went well, I left the vents open till 225 then shut 2 off and left one open all night for 250. I woke up a few times throughout the night to check temps and she sat nicely for me. The storms passed in the first 3 hours of the cook. I just pulled the butts off the smoker and got them resting. If you can find a way to hide your wsm from the wind and rain, storms arent too much of a problem.
