Store bought oh no

Watching you and other chefs making rubs and marinades often includes a lot of ingredients that I don't have on hand. With busy schedules and life in general I often grab an off-the-shelf rub or marinade from the store. Do you have any suggestions for good off-the-shelf rubs and marinades? Or as a chef is not just something you avoid?
Jason, it's true that I don't buy them often. With many of the marinades, you are paying a lot of $$ for mostly water, and the spice rubs tend to have more salt and sugar (cheap ingredients) than I prefer. This store-bought items do offer convenience but I find it pretty easy to mix up whatever I need on the spot.
