Stoker electrical cord

Hi all,
Newbie here. Just got my Stoker and I was wondering what everybody uses for the electrical cord. Meaning the power adapter cord is so short I wont be able to get it to an outlet, dont want the WSM so close to my house. Can I use just a plain old extension cord? What about bad weather?

I use an extension cord but make sure that it is inside my garage and then close the door. That way, it is safe from elements.

Someone once post a picture of a water tight junction box that housed the power and stoker itself.

I use an exterior grade extension cord (like an orange lawnmower cord). If it is wet outside you can wrap the connection (where the Stoker plugs into the cord) in a plastic bag and tape both ends to keep water out.
