Stained my side table yesterday and hit the OTG with some meat today

Well this looks much better. Wood is cedar and the stain is minwax "gunstock" that I had left over from another project. I put the stain on yesterday and it was dry so I lit the chimney

Then iI tossed two of these on for me and the wife to be

Pork and Chorizo burgers. Sorry I forgot to take pics of them done. They were awesome. I bought the weber cookbook on my Kindle and so far both things I have made have been awesome (Smoked chicken enchilada pie was the other item) tomorrow I'm making some of their Balsamic glazed wings for dinner.

I'm living life with a weber

Nope. Used 1.5lbs of ground pork, 14oz of ground Chorizo, 1-1/2cups of Panko bread crumbs, 1-1/2tsp of cumin, 1-1/2tsp of paprika, 1-1/2tsp of kosher salt and 4 minced cloves of garlic. Mixed it all together and made 8 patties that size. Froze the rest. Super flavors

I like it!. The table and the burgers

Coming from someone who can hardly cut a straight line in a piece of wood, it came out nice

jeff. nice table. did you make it from plans or was it a refurb of an existing table you had? id be interested to see the jointery and the underside if you have a second to shoot a few pics, I might try to make one. nice job, and the chorizo burgers look great too man.

don't lift the lid...

I made it all myself. I figured many would ask so I made a quick sketch of how it was built looking at the underside. Let me know if you have questions but this pretty much sums it up. I had everything but the wood and floor flanges so it was cheap for me but even if you purchased everything it would still be cheaper than the weber table.

Here's the sketch

I forgot two dimensions on the sketch. The edge of the support with the legs was set back 2-1/2" from the end of the table top, the other support was set back 6" from the grill end prior to cutting the radius. If you're going to stain it do it prior to assembly as it was a pain to get the stain between the boards.
