Spatchcock Chicken on the 220Q

Made spatchcock chicken on the Q the other day. No flare-ups! Put on a nice coating of my poulty rub and put the bird down skin side up for 10 minutes and flipped every 10 minutes until done. Added some veggies in foil pack and a few rolls too. Yummy.

This was my 4-5th time using the Q and I was really impressed with the flame control - no flareups no yucky soot. Actually this was one of the best chickens I ever grilled. The best $229 I ever spent.

I would say about 40-50 minutes. I was taking mental notes and really need to write these things down for consistancy.

Nice job...I never grilled a spatchcock chicken. Will need to look it up on how to cut it up.

Yep love doin' myself that way. The design of the "Q" lends itself very well to doing birds like this. How about a spatchcock turkey for dead buzzard day? ;-)
