Source for pork butt in NYC/Brooklyn?

Any NYC smokers out there? My brother wants to buy a couple of pork butts to smoke at his friend's place in CT. Preferably bone in, and "BBQ price" (i.e. $1.00-$1.50 / lb, not $4.00 from a fancy butcher). Full butts for BBQ in the 7lb range, not a 4lb supermarket shoulder roast.

He lives in Brooklyn but works in Manhattan so any ideas around there would be welcomed!

My friend lives in Brooklyn (East NY) and he smokes his food. I can ask him where you can buy those butts. He should know, even though he doesn't eat pork. He gets briskets and short ribs all the time.

I moved to CT from the Bronx and the butts here are generally $1.29-1.49/lb. I'm smoking a 7-pounder as we speak.
 
Hey Matt. What my friend told me was that butts are on sale at Pathmark right now. Have your friend go check them out.
 
If Pathmark doesn't work out does your brother's friend have membership at a club store? I assume there is a Costco, Sam's or BJ's up there.

For pork butt at decent prices and around the 7lb range. I would suggest you go to a chain of stores in NYC called Western Beef. These stores basically has all their meats in a huge refrigerated section. They def have stores in Manhattan, Bronx, and Queens, not sure about Brooklyn. They custom cut if needed as well.
