so unimpressed by thermapen build quality


 
What do you guys get on your thermapens that require washing under water?

I generally use a clorox/lysol wipe. It cleans nicely and kills any germs that may be hanging around.

that's what i do too. if i don't have a cleaning wipe i just wet down a papertowel and put a dab of dish soap on it. then i wipe the tip and use another clean wet towel to get any soap off. i also use the wet paper towel after using a clorox wipe. not sure if it's needed, but i do it just the same.

I was actually rinsing the residue of the wipes off. The label on the Lysol Wipes is so extreme it scares me.

Funny story re: the cell phone that's advertised as water proof to 3 feet. I recently bought a (not inexpensive) handheld ham radio that is advertised as waterproof to 3Ft (1m) for 30 minutes. Low and behold, I see on YouTube someone actually put it to the test, and it passed!
