Just a mid week chicken cook, a couple legs for dinner,I had some greens planned but just ended up with chicken and rice.
Chicken legs, rice. Spiced with Oakridge lime and chili, glazed with bird glaze, a bit of over the fire heat. The breast was for later meals.

I look back and it seems like a weak post, the pics don't do it much justice.
I posted later in the evening shortly after eating. Quite possibly the best indirect chicken I have had.
The glaze was the bird bath, Texas jelly brand or whatever it is called. Peach mango habanero.
There isn't a lot of places I can use that glaze, and generally I don't use things like glaze so I was pretty proud.
The Oakridge smokey chili lime is a very salty rub, like to me the salt over powers a lot of the rub flavor................hard to use on wings if that makes sense. So used it lightly, then applied that bird bath early on the cook and applied it a couple more times while cooking. I am not a fan of really sweet bbq, I don't use a lot of sugary bbq sauces but this turned out exceptional. A bit of salt, with a touch of heat and sweet from the glaze and just a touch of smoke. It's the only reason I posted late at night. The pics make it look fairly regular so it's nothing to get really excited about.
That breast I had the next day and it was juicy and tasted better than the legs if you can believe that...No skin so the flavors rally soaked in I guess???
