Going to work the other day and saw the "Simpson Color" out of the corner of my eye in a trash pile. Asked the guy if it really was trash and he said someone else must have put that piece of crap on his trash pile. He said if you want it, it is yours. I cut a charcoal grate out of some expanded metal I had and bought a $10 cooking grate from ACE and I am in business. "DD", 2000 model.

Can't someone please throw out a collectors grill in my garbage? How about the fact that someone else tossed it in this guys trash. The guy didn't put it in the trash, someone set it in this guys trash before William found it. I'm hoping someone tosses an imperial sequoia in my trash. Problem is, they would come and pick up my garbage and I wouldn't notice it before it got hauled away

If I were you I would just go buy a SJS for $30 bucks and replace all the parts with new ones. Then you would have a virtually new sipmsons. The legs would be fresh, you would have the bottom ash catcher and all the grates you need.
