SmokeFire has been flawless since upgrades


 
There were some hardware and firmware updates that they sent out to earlier adopters. I believe they have recalled all of the older units and are only selling updated ones now. In my case it was a replacement auger and chute and an insert that increases the angle of the pellet hopper into the auger chute. It was a rough launch, but now I couldn't be happier. I use it as a smoker (loin) and as a gas grill (steak) replacement.
 
Glad to know other are having as much success as I am.
it’s pretty much my go to for any type of cooking these days.
It really is a great smoker and grill.
 
Even though I went with a Camp Chef I'm sure glad to read all the good things about the SmokeFire now. I followed the launch on this forum and was impressed with the tenacity of early adopters to get their SmokeFires updated and performing well.
Really a great thing to see.
