SmokeFire EPX6 $100 (USD) Price Increase From $1399 to $1499

I've seen one or two people who have one (HOW? I WANT!), but it still shows as Coming Soon and the price has jumped $100. I was on there just a day or two ago and the price was $1399.

They all went up $100 it seems.

I'm in the Logistics Industry actually, and it's very true. All prices have gone up included the new Genesis models at $50+.
It still would have been nice to at least buy it / preorder it at the price. But these days it seems pre-launch increases are the norm.
 
Yes, and there are times when a container is staged for an ocean shipment, then we learn at the last minute it is full. At that point there are two options: wait for the next ocean shipment or ship via air. Costs associated with manufacturing are not fixed at the time of order placement these days; they are very fluid until near the ship date.
 
I’d be real interested in doing comparisons with the new RecTeq at that price.

Pretty sure although getting old I was at their site this morning and it was $1399 so it jumped 100 bucks today just went in there a moment ago and you are correct its now 1499. Good for anyone who bought the smokefire when it was on sale the EX6 is now 1299 and the 4 is 1099.

If you want to be smart and want a gasser then you can now buy https://www.weber.com/US/en/grills/gas-grills/genesis/35810001.html for a mere $1699 a bit less at Lowes not much less.

Gonna be a tough year for Weber and Cook at these prices its just going to drive IMO more business whether its pellet grills, gassers or whatever to the mid to lower end depending how you want to classify it. I was in Costco yesterday even if you want the Master Touch Premium its 329 looks like they give you a cover. Interesting was there were no Weber gassers on display at my store and there was a month ago they were featuring a KitchenAid on display https://www.costco.com/kitchenaid-4-burner-gas-grill-with-searing-side-burner.product.100690365.html. Nice looking unit how well it works who knows.

Correct! It was $1399 this morning. They changed it because Pre-Orders are going live. I was able to pre-order today at BBQGUYS. Shows 4-6 weeks and customer service confirmed that.
