Smoked Pecans

Any body have a procedure for smoking Pecans? I have a ton in the freezer given to me last year that I need to do something with.

Ken, plenty of ideas here. Most are done with almonds, but heck, use what you have. The sweet spicy mixed nuts recipe sound good for your pecans.

Almonds are tricky enough, pecans seem more delicate.

I'd cold smoke, then a very light toss in oil then bake probably no higher than 325ºF to start.

Do a couple test ones on a sheet to get the time down. I would try 'just starting to darken' as a beginning point and go from there.
