Smoked Baked Beans

What beans offer better taste and texture, I have a big can of Northern Beans, do you have to add alot to get to the pork n beans version? Any good recipe from Northern Beans?

I have used Generic P n B and made them from the Main site and added under the ribs and it was good... I have a saying if it aint broke, dont fix it, but can always do better as well..
 
You can doctor them up and add along with a can of P&B.
I do something similar to this, but use 1/2 hamburger and a roll of Jimmy Deans Maple Sausage.
I cut the brown sugar in half and I don't use liquid smoke.
Use one can of Cannellini beans along with the can of red kidneys and one can of Butter beans along with the pintos.

Put them in a slow cooker or oven than cool and fridge overnite cause they do taste better the next day. Put em under a butt or ribs for a few and you get a nice smoky crust.:wsm:

I took a can of cheep baked beans from Giant Hawk store brand. To that I added some of my favorite barbecue sauce, about quarter cup. A minced jalapeno. A minced onion, and about a quarter cup of Captain Morgans Black. This was put indirect on the Performer and cooked indirect with Mesquite smoke. Best beans I've ever had.

The only thing missing was bacon. That's going to happen next time.
