Smoked a Tom & Fattie Tonight

Well I was supposed to do this over the weekend but.........

Anyway came home from work and I was beat and said I don't really feel like cooking that Turkey, but knew time was running out on him so I took a 45-50 min power nap got up and threw it on the WSM. Smoked it over B&B Oak Lump and a Big Ole piece of cherry. Threw a fattie on also to take to work tomorrow for my crew. Now all I want is for it to cool down so I can go to bed.

Bryan, great looking bird!!! Cherry just gives it that nice reddish color. Any pics of the meat cut up?

Paul, Cherry is awsome for the color WOW! factor on Poultry skin, ain't it.

No pics of it sliced up. This was one of the $0.37 lb birds I bought right before Thanksgiving. I only eat the white meat, and really only make and eat Turkey for sammies. 99% of the time I just smoke them for Smoked Turkey salad. The cats get the dark meat, which they love. Yes they are spoiled, that's why they Love me.
