Small Brisket Flat

Did a small 3lb brisket flat last night. Cooked it at around 280-300 for a few hours, foiled it for a while, basted with apple juice. Used mesquite for wood.
I did not really care if it worked out or not. Just wanted to try it. But WOW, It turned out great. I am ready to try the real deal from the butcher shop next weekend. Any advise? Yeh, Ive read all the cooking section tips. Looking for some experienced opions.
