Picked up this Silver C Green head NG.
If I put in a LP manifold, will it be compatible with the burner? Will the burner need to be replaced as well.

Oh man, another rotted out cook box cross member. It's funny, I would swear that the lid is gray in the pictures instead of green. The side burner orifices on those grills are larger on the propane versions too so I doubt you would notice any difference even if you did change it.

Burners don't care what you feed them as long as the mixture is correct. It's why for instance most gas kitchen ranges have a simple "switch" to flip between NG and LP and include the proper orifices to run on each one. EZPZ

Reason I picked this up I thought this would be a good candidate to gift to my Brother.
He said he would take it if I restored it. I am going to convert to propane though.

Restore it as in repainting the frame, cook box, etc.? That should be quite a transformation, can't wait to see it finished.

I will have to see how much I am able to put into it. I would like to fix it up nice as I can for him. I know I do not go to all the extremes most of y'all do, but I will give it go. I would like to make my Brother happy.

That burner came from a Genesis? I don't think I ever saw one that looked like that
Yes, it did, and I bought a new lid for it when I got it. I was going to use it on a Silver C build I had but changed my mind so here it sat in my stash.
My Brother says he would prefer a burner option on his grill. So, I will use it here.

That's interesting. I've seen quite a few models with a side burner but never saw one like that. Though I've honestly never seen one off a Genesis B/C type. I wonder if those then would fit on older ones 2xxx, etc.?
As for controls not matching, just a thought. If a person wants a side burner, I doubt the panels not matching will matter much. At least it would not to me.

This grill does not have the hook for right swing out table option, but it does have the hole if I want to add a condiment rack. I have some condiment racks in my stash. I have right drop-down trim for the rack, but it is in black, and I do not have the matching left. I may have to buy the left in black if still available.

I dusted it off and hopefully you tell the color from this pic.

Looks like the same green that I gave to daughter's BF last year for his b'day. I think it's likely the camera itself tamping down the intensity of the green. Some cameras tend to want to "flatten" an image, and some seem to over saturate it. But it even looks like it was flattening the green on the grass as well
