Everyone,

I cleaned the lid on my flip grill today. I found some chips in the porcelain on the inside of the lid and both edges. How do you guys address this?

On the inside of the lid??? I don't address it. It will get a good coating of grease and carbon soon enough and it not only will protect it, but it will hide it. If you want to spot paint the outside, you can find a matching or near matching color of high heat paint and spray some in a cup and Q-tip it onto the chip or you could use one of those water color paint brushes. However, it isn't ever going to be as durable as the procelain and will eventually chip or scrub off. Another problem is finding a HIGH HEAT color of paint to match. Next option and preferred option is donor grill.

Thanks Bruce!

Hard to tell from the photos but it looks like they're on the edge where the side panels would be. Honestly I think it's pretty common. Every one I ever took the side panels off of had some chips
